Who we are

vbiz is a trading name of VBiz Group Pty Ltd, an Australian software engineering studio registered in New South Wales (ABN 53 618 280 747). We are responsible for the information described on this page. You can reach us at contact@vbizapp.com.

What we collect

The contact form asks for your name and email address, which are required, and optionally a message, your website, roughly how many customers you have, and what you charge each of them. We ask for the last two so we can size a piece of work before the first call. Leave them blank if you would rather not say.

The production-readiness quiz runs entirely in your browser and asks for nothing. If you choose to enter your email at the end, we receive that address, your result tier, and which of the eight questions you flagged as a gap. Your individual answers are not sent anywhere unless you enter an email.

If you go from your quiz result to the $49 scan request, that result is kept in your browser so the request form can offer to send it with your details. The box is ticked for you and you can untick it. We receive your result tier and the gaps you flagged only if you leave it ticked and send the form.

The $49 scan request asks for your name, your email address and the URL of the app you want scanned, all three required, plus an optional message. It also asks you to tick a box confirming the site is yours to have scanned. We keep that tick because it is our authority to run the scan at all.

We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site. The $49 scan is invoiced by email after the report is sent, so no card number ever passes through this site.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, and to have a useful first conversation rather than one spent gathering basics. For a scan request, also to run the scan and send you the report and the invoice. We do not add you to a mailing list, build a profile of you, or sell anything to anyone.

Where it goes

All three forms send you as an email and nothing else. There is no database, no customer relationship system, and nothing you type is passed to our analytics. What you submit is delivered to our inbox by Resend, our email provider, and then it lives in that inbox until we delete it.

Resend processes and stores email in the United States, so submitting any of them means your details are handled overseas. This site is hosted by Vercel, which also operates outside Australia.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and there is nothing to consent to. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and measure loading speed. It is cookieless, it does not follow you to other sites, and it records no information that identifies you.

The quiz counts a few things too, so we can see where people give up on it: that someone started, which question number they reached or went back from, that they finished and which of the three risk tiers they landed in, and whether they asked for their result by email. The answers you pick are not sent, the gaps you flagged are not sent, and your email address is not sent. Those counts are not tied to you or to each other.

The quiz result described above is held in your browser’s session storage, which is not a cookie. It stays on your device, it is not sent with any page you load, and closing the tab deletes it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our inbox for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to it. Ask us to delete yours and we will, whenever you ask.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

Email contact@vbizapp.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, fix anything wrong, or delete the lot. No form to fill in and no charge. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us the same way and we will come back to you. If that does not settle it, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of previous versions, so the page you are reading is the current one.
